Providing equity of critical and maternity care for the critically ill pregnant or recently pregnant woman

This document was drafted by the Maternal Critical Care Working Group, a subcommittee of the Joint Standing Committee
of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and the Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCoA) together with representation from the Royal College of Midwives (RCM), Intensive Care Society (ICS), British Maternal and Fetal Medicine Society (BMFMS), the Obstetric Anaesthetists Association (OAA) and the Department of Health (DH). It was hosted by the Royal College of Anaesthetists. The multidisciplinary Working Group was formed to look at source documents relating to matters of critical care in the parturient and to provide critical appraisal and advice for those tasked with providing this care to women.
