Overall Aim of the Society

To advance midwifery practice through the promotion, development and dissemination of midwifery research regionally, nationally and internationally.

Operational Objectives

• To provide a platform for midwifery research activity, and the advancement of midwifery practice,

• To facilitate face to face and e-forum networking opportunities for doctoral and post doctoral midwives, and others,

• To develop high quality regional, national and international research proposals,

• To collaborate and undertake midwifery research, disseminate findings and promote the implementation of research outcomes,

• To facilitate conferences and events designed to promote midwifery research and to open up the University of Ulster Annual Midwifery Research Colloquium to all PhD students and post doctoral researchers.
