The main objective of the DMRS is to provide quality support and guidance to doctoral and post doctoral midwife and childbirth (or related) researchers regionally, nationally and internationally.


Our Operational Objectives are

• To provide a modern platform for midwifery research activity, and the advancement of midwifery practice,

• To facilitate face to face and e-forum networking opportunities for doctoral and post doctoral midwives, and others,

• To develop high quality regional, national and international research proposals,

• To collaborate and undertake midwifery research, disseminate findings and promote the implementation of research outcomes,

• To facilitate conferences and events designed to promote midwifery research to all PhD students and post doctoral researchers

The DMRS places a strong emphasis on doing and using research for the good of society and for the advancement of knowledge for childbirth practices.
