UNICEF UK is inviting applications from research groups for a grant of £180,000 to analyse and report on the cost benefits of breastfeeding in the UK, in order to determine whether there is an economic argument for continuing to promote, protect and support breastfeeding. The findings will be made available to senior policy makers, clinicians and NHS managers to help them plan their strategic priorities.
